Dave McMahon is a Dubliner, living in Bavaria, Germany for many years. He started playing the accordeon upon meeting the infamous set dancing teacher and boxplayer, Timmy the Brit (McCarthy). He immediately fell in love with the Sliabh Luachra music he heard and continues to specialise in it today.

Along with the Brit and Timmy's son Tony, himself a fine flute player, Dave tours Germany with his band "Na Ciotogi". Playing a very pleasant and unusual blend of Irish and Bavarian traditional music, these lads are well worth a look and listen if you get the chance.
