Move on to this section when you feel you have practised the melody enough at the slower pace. At this stage you should be concentrating on phrasing, rhythm and intonation. If you are incorporaring rolls and triplets dont rush in to them. Remember when attempting to do a roll or triplet it is better to pull back rather than rush too quickly into it. Student fiddle players of Irish traditional music sometimes tend to get bogged down wondering whether a note or a run of notes should be played with an up or down bow. My advice is play what feels comfortable most players will bow a tune differently each time.
