This variation occurs in the first bar of the first part. Instead of playing the long open D I play an open G followed by a low A and two Ds .The tune itself sits ideally on the fiddle and its nice to include the lower register notes.

This occurs in the second bar of the second part. Instead of playing the long high F on the E string I play the F and go up and play the high A also. The high long F in the second part sounds lovely and therefore I would only play this variation once on about the fourth time around.
